Teen angst — one terribly solemn malady; so many hopelessly personal incantations. Luckily for her, with the help of benevolent fern forests to rise above and giant toppled eyeball trees to hide inside, Virginia has managed to elude that particular ailment, though the equally vexing ailments of adulthood are always close behind or just ahead, and somehow need to be toppled or trampled too.
